Services

Chihiro is a trained birth worker and offers the following two services. They are also an approved service provider for the Doulas for Aboriginal Families Grant Program.

Labour/Birth Support

$1,200-1,500 Sliding Scale

  • 2 prenatal visits 1-1.5 months prior to your due date
  • 24/7 on-call support starting 3 weeks prior to your due date
  • labour accompaniment & support including partner care
  • 2 postpartum visits within 1-3 weeks after giving birth
  • Support via email, phone, and text up to 5 weeks postpartum
  • Offering information, resources, and referrals

postpartum support

$35-40/hr Sliding Scale

  • Debriefing labour & birth experience
  • Debriefing postpartum adjustment
  • Assisting with baby & sibling care
  • Supporting breast/chestfeeding
  • Cooking & prepping meals/snacks
  • Light housekeeping
  • Accompaniment to appointments and errands
  • Offering information, resources, and referrals

Booking Process

After your initial contact/inquiry, an hour meet-and-greet will be scheduled for us to get to know each other better, ask questions, and to assess our compatibility. After receiving the confirmation to move forward within the week, a contract will be sent to for you to sign, which will confirm the booking and we will move on to booking our first visit.
